Loads that shift in transit cost you damaged stock, rejected deliveries and unhappy customers. Anti-slip sheets are one of the simplest ways to stop it. Here’s when you need them, and when you don’t.
What are anti-slip sheets?
Anti-slip sheets are specially engineered paper sheets that increase friction between pallet layers. Placed between products, they grip the stacked layers together, preventing goods from sliding.
Slip sheets and anti-slip sheets: what’s the difference?
The names sound alike but they do opposite jobs. A slip sheet is a thin sheet used in place of a pallet, designed so loads can be pushed and pulled across it. An anti-slip sheet sits between the layers of a palletised load to stop them sliding.
Signs your pallets need them
- Layers shifting or leaning by the time pallets arrive.
- Smooth or glossy cartons that slide easily on each other.
- Tall stacks, or loads that travel long distances with heavy braking and cornering.
- Damage claims or rejected deliveries caused by load movement.
Do anti-slip sheets replace stretch film?
No, you’ll still need your stretch film. The two do different jobs: film holds the pallet together from the outside, while anti-slip sheets stop the layers sliding inside it. Paired with a high-containment film such as FiberFilm or Nanofilm, they give you a load that’s secure inside and out.
Sizes and delivery
Our standard anti-slip sheet is 1170mm × 970mm at 125gsm, sized for standard 1200 × 1000mm UK pallets, with non-standard sizes made to order. It’s a stocked line, delivered next day, free, to UK mainland addresses.
