Pallet stability · Nanofilm range · Since 2018

67 nano-layers of hold, from 10 microns thin.

Nanofilm is cast stretch film co-extruded in 67 nano-layers on a state of the art nano-layer extrusion line. Each layer is laid down through a precision nano-layer feedblock, and together they give the film far more robust characteristics than its thickness suggests: high holding force, consistent performance at speed, and stretch of up to 380%. Incredible performance despite its thickness, with less plastic on every load.

We have supplied Nanofilm since 2018, and we have pushed the technology further since. Standard Nanofilm covers everyday machine wrapping, and our special High Elongation range takes on the really challenging loads at very low thicknesses. We'll benchmark either against your current film, free, on your own pallets.

The Nanofilm range.

Two families of film. Between them, every machine wrapped pallet in the warehouse is covered.

Standard Nanofilm

The everyday workhorse. Nano-layer strength at low micron for consistent, reliable machine wrapping. Less film on every pallet than conventional machine film, with the holding force to keep loads secure at full line speed.

High Elongation Nanofilm

For the really challenging loads. Our special range that pushes nano-layer technology to its boundaries. The 10 micron grade stretches to 300% and the 12 micron grade to 350%, so one roll wraps further and grips harder on heavy, sharp or unstable pallets.

Why 67 nano-layers changes the film.

A conventional cast film is extruded in a handful of layers. Nanofilm is co-extruded in 67, through a precision nano-layer feedblock that sequences each polymer exactly where it works hardest: cling and release skins for clean unwinding at speed, and core layers tuned for toughness and holding force. The layering gives the film far more robust characteristics than a conventional film of the same gauge, which is how a film as thin as 10 microns replaces far thicker conventional films. Strength from structure, not from thickness.

Why customers switch to Nanofilm

✔

Film from just 10 microns thin

Dramatically less plastic on every pallet than thicker conventional films.

✔

Up to 380% stretch

One roll wraps more pallets, with fewer roll changes and a lower cost per pallet.

✔

67 nano-layer construction

Robust, consistent film characteristics engineered into the structure itself.

✔

Nanofilm specialists since 2018

Stocking, benchmarking and pushing nano-layer films to their limits ever since.

✔

Lower Plastic Packaging Tax bill

Less plastic per pallet means fewer taxable tonnes every quarter.

✔

100% recyclable

Single polymer film that goes into the standard recycling stream.

The same pallet. Every film.

Seven films, one identical wrap: 15 rotations of the same 4.4 metre perimeter pallet, each film at its rated stretch. The only thing that changes is how much plastic each film needs to do the job.

Calculated figures based on each film’s rated stretch: identical 16kg rolls (14.9kg of film), 15 rotations of a 4.4 metre perimeter pallet. Your results depend on your machine and load, which is exactly what the free benchmark measures.

Questions we get asked

Standard or High Elongation, which do I need?
Standard Nanofilm for consistent, everyday machine wrapping. High Elongation Nanofilm for heavy, sharp or unstable loads where maximum stretch and grip matter most. Not sure? Tell us your machine and load. The benchmark settles it with numbers.
What is nano-layer technology?
Instead of extruding film in a handful of thick layers, a nano-layer line co-extrudes it in dozens of extremely thin ones through a precision feedblock. The layering gives the film more robust characteristics than a conventional film of the same gauge, and different polymers can be sequenced through the structure exactly where they work hardest. The result is a film that can be thinner, stretched further and run faster.
Is 10 microns really strong enough to hold a pallet?
Yes, because the strength comes from the structure, not the thickness. The 67 nano-layer construction and high stretch mean the film grips the load under tension with holding force comparable to much thicker conventional films. We have supplied Nanofilm since 2018, and the free benchmark proves it on your own pallets.
Can I see the difference without a site visit?
Yes. Tell us how you wrap a pallet today: the film you currently use and how many rotations you apply. We'll send back a simulated comparison showing the plastic, cost and stability difference against the right Nanofilm, with no site visit needed.
How does Nanofilm cut my Plastic Packaging Tax bill?
The tax is charged per tonne of plastic packaging. A thinner film at higher stretch puts less plastic on every pallet, so the same output uses fewer taxable tonnes each quarter.
How quickly can I get it?
Free next-day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
